Arogya Foundation of India (AFI)

ABOUT

AFI has been providing preventive health care services and awareness generation programmes to the inhabitants of remote and Adivasi areas towards preventive health care services, hygiene, nutrition as well as general health check-ups through Telemedicine programmes. AFI is the healthcare vertical under Ekal Abhiyan, which is a three-decade old organization that works for the holistic development of remote rural and tribal villages. The program also reaches out to school children to help them develop healthy habits and improve personal hygiene.

The Awareness Generation programme includes activities like educating the community by showing health and herbal related posters and explaining about the hygiene related good practices and the herbal remedies, sensitising them about using toilets instead of open defaecation, reaching out to school children and working towards development of their personal hygiene habits and health awareness. It also included working towards spreading general health awareness.

Trusted Feedback

At Kariwala Industries Ltd., we are proud to support the Arogya Foundation of India and its deeply impactful model of extending primary healthcare to some of the most underserved tribal regions in the country. In areas where government facilities are overburdened and private care is prohibitively expensive, AFI steps in to bridge the gap—not just with good intentions, but with a practical, scalable model. By training Sevikas in basic healthcare and equipping them with the technology to facilitate video consultations with doctors, AFI ensures that even the poorest tribal villager—regardless of whether they own a smartphone or not—can access timely medical advice. We believe this is not just service delivery; it is dignity in healthcare. And we are honoured to play a small role in this important mission.
